This week I had the pleasure of speaking to Lucy Kozak, a long time Account Manager who previously worked at G2 before moving to Fallon this year. In this interview we discussed how she broke into the advertising industry and what her keys tips are on how to become an Account Manager, great for all you future Advertising graduates out there.
Every week I run my “get a job in advertising” series, which is aimed to help give budding admen and women some tips and insight on getting into the ad industry. This week I spoke to Adam Symons, Account Planner at Saatchi & Saatchi, London, on how to become an advertising Planner and how he made it into advertising.
This week I wanted a slightly different view-point. Rather than talking to individual Copywriters or Art Directors, I’ve spoken to a Creative Team at VCCP; Jason Scott and Joris Philippart about how to become an advertising Creative Team, where the guys get their inspiration from and what VCCP look for from future creatives.
Last week I attended Marketing Week Live in London, a two-day marketing conference, focusing on all areas from promotions and direct mail, to digital marketing and social media. It was my first time attending the annual event so I thought I’d share my thoughts by writing a Marketing Week Live review.
As I explained in my previous interview, I’ve been a bit slack keeping this up due to a house move, but I’m back on form and in a routine again. This week I spoke to Albion’s Planner, Philippa Dunjay. A university graduate herself, Philippa knows all too well about the long hard road that has to be taken, to get into this industry. So who better to speak to, to find out how to become an advertising Planner than Philippa?
